It is with much excitement and great honor to announce that Raheem Jarbo aka "Mega Ran" will be a musical guest of honor at Tomodachi Fest 6! We are looking forward to his very first visit to the Tomodachi Fest anime convention!
Random, aka Mega Ran. Teacher, Rapper, Hero. A 14-year music veteran, middle school teacher and videogame aficionado, Random's songs are filled with all of the heartache, pain, triumph, tragedy and fun that come with everyday living. A Philadelphia native and Phoenix transplant, graduate of Penn State University and former middle school instructor, Random speaks to the everyman, transcending race or class barriers."I never want anyone to predict my next move," he says. You can, however, expect the unexpected from Random, hence the name.
Random’s unique combination of fantasy and true to life music has garnered him respect and admiration from the genre’s toughest critics; Not many independent artists can boast having music utilized in television (TNA Wrestling, Portlandia), videogames (Rock Band, among others), movies, and university courses in several colleges in the US (Temple, Virginia Tech, Miami among others). Now that’s Random. Random’s critically acclaimed projects as Mega Ran include FOREVER FAMICOM, a tribute to NES classics, and BLACK MATERIA, an album based on the music of hit Final Fantasy VII. Ran continues to reach new heights after video game corporation CAPCOM offered Random an exclusive licensing agreement, leading to movie soundtrack placements and tours of the US, UK and Japan, all in 2011. Catch Ran on the front of leading hip-hop and gaming publications, or at a show near you. Something new… something different…this is the Random Experience.

She fell in love with Steampunk while doing panels at conventions, and has thrown herself fully into this intriguing genre. Luckily, many of her skills apply very well to the re-imaginative world of Steampunk and she adores the innovation and freedom Steampunk allows.
Teaching is Tangl’s great passion. She has 60 panels, from Armor for All Day Wear to Surviving Your Own Creativity. She covers topics like Possible vs. Impossible Cosplay, How to Flirt Without Getting Slapped and Where Did The Chicken Come From? (What to Do When Your Characters Do Stuff Without You). Her love of doing panels has brought her fame from Seattle to Miami and introduced her to many of her heroes like Boris Vallejo and George R. R. Martin. She has taught at conventions across the country including the World Science Fiction Convention.
Tonya has also been published in the 2011 Hugo Award winning Drink Tank fanzine and in the 2012 Hugo Nominated Journey Planet. Her first book, Thine Enemy’s Eyes, is the premiere novel released by Fantastic Journeys Publishing. As a co-founder, Tangl looks for submissions from other authors, helping them to tune their writing and realize their dreams. “The company is run by authors, for authors, and is small enough to give you individual attention. We welcome submitters and want to learn about your endeavors!”
Her second book in the series, An Unpolished Gem, is available now and the audio book for Thine Enemy’s Eyes is in production and due to release Fall 2012.
